The nearest rail link to Portland is Weymouth, with services to London via Bournemouth and Southampton.
Trains to London Waterloo run hourly.
There is also a link to Bristol.
Bus services to Weymouth and Dorchester are frequent and cover most of the Island. There is a coach service to London and various coach companies run day excursions throughout the year.

A ferry service runs periodically from Weymouth to Portland castle.
The nearest Airports are Bournemouth International, Exeter or Bristol all can be reached by rail.
