Portland Computer Centre

The Portland Computer Centre at the YMCA, Reforne, offers a wide range of IT training, from free,

Three hour tasters through to degree level and specialist courses for experienced users.

ü

The Centre is open in the evenings, on Sundays, and throughout the year.

ü

All computers have fast internet access, and can be booked for individual use at a charge of £1 an hour.

ü

The Portland Computer Centre is run by Weymouth College and Dorset Adult Education.

Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre

Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre is one of four Centres within the Dorset County Council Outdoor Education Service. The Centre has been providing outdoor and environmental education for over thirty years. The Centre is open seven days a week, with an option for groups of day, weekend or week courses There is also a comprehensive range of courses for individuals.

Accommodation
The Centre is open seven days a week to give the greatest flexibility to our clients and, although W.O.E.C. is a non-residential Centre, accommodation can be found in local hotels or at the Youth Hostel on Portland.
The Centre offers outdoor and adventurous activity courses meeting the requirements of the National Curriculum, and a practical learning experience designed to enhance personal and social skills. The Centre also offers specialist courses to help meet the requirements of the National Curriculum in science, geography and history and a literacy package which helps you get the most out of your visit.
